For most of the 20th century, autoimmune disease was treated as a collection of rare and unrelated conditions. The biology says otherwise: shared genetics, shared immune mechanisms, shared environmental triggers, shared responses to therapy. What was missing was the infrastructure to see the whole picture at once — and the regulatory frame to let that infrastructure be European.
Three things are converging now. Clinical tools native to the devices specialists actually use, which removes the friction between care and data. The European Health Data Space, coming into force in 2029, which finally gives secondary use of clinical data a lawful and harmonised framework. And AI capable of detecting cross-disease patterns — molecular mimicry, shared biomarkers, treatment-response signatures — that no human reviewer could catch at scale.
For the first time, building autoimmune medicine from the data layer up is viable.
Decoding autoimmunity is the work. Neural Omega is what we are building inside it: four products organised in two verticals, sitting on a single European foundation. The patient layer and the clinical layer come first because that is where the data layer starts. The research layer and the discovery layer follow when the foundation can support them honestly.

Pedro Bernardo Martín-Borregón, CEO, with a background in medicine and original research in bioinformatics, has seen first-hand how autoimmune patients move through the system, what clinicians actually need at the point of care, and where the data breaks down between specialties. He founded Neural Omega in Madrid in 2025 to build the infrastructure he kept finding missing.
The technical foundation is being built alongside him by an engineering team that has chosen the Apple ecosystem and offline-first architecture as deliberate decisions, not defaults. The team works in Madrid, in Spanish and English, on European time.
Neural Omega is a member of AseBio, the Spanish bioindustry association, and has been recognised as an emerging company by ENISA. The company is backed by NextGenerationEU under the Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia.

Neural Omega is currently pre-commercial and funded through Spanish and European public instruments dedicated to deep-tech with strategic value. A formal funding round window is expected to open in 2027.
